I’ve always been a builder of some sort. As a kid Legos, Lincoln Logs, Tinker Toys and Radio Shack Electric Project Kit were my favorite ways to occupy myself. As I got older I traded in my Legos and other gadgets for model planes and boats. I joined the Army straight out of high school. During my time in the Army I was stationed at Ft. Bragg, deployed to Somolia, later station in Seoul, Korea and my final duty station was Ft Drum. While I loved being in the Army, it was time for me to move on so on May 1st, 1996 I exited the service. After leaving the military, I built drinks as a bartender to finance my college education where I studied how to build websites and software applications.
Sandy was born and raised in Osgood, IN and comes from a very large family (her dad was one of 13 children; her mom, one of 16). Coming from such a large family taught her early in life the value of reuse and recycle. She’s a master at seeing value in what might appear to be junk to others. Turning old into new and broken into beautiful is her trademark. She believes that every piece, be it an old pie safe or solid oak beams from grandma’s barn, has a history and hidden beauty that’s worth preserving.
As A Team
Together we’re an unstoppable. Married in 2016, we started this business as a way of preserving history and creating treasured keepsakes. Sandy says she’s the brains and I’m the brawn and that’s mostly true. She’s also incredibly supportive, patient and adept at keeping everything inline – me included. We love what we’ve built together and look forward to build something for you that can be passed down for generations.
